That’s why we are launching highly scalable proprietary charging stations and kWh plans to bring DC fast charging to where you live, with the goal of allowing people to top off their day wherever they go.

Our charging stations can deliver up to 56 KW of DC power straight to your car; getting 10 to 15 kWh will only take 12 to 18 minutes. However, your car model and battery condition might affect the charging speed.
Yes, our charging stations are open to everyone. For your convenience, purchase 10 kWh of electricity for just $4, available anytime at any of our locations.
No demand charges or surprises. Simply purchase one of our kWh plans to start charging at any OpenGrid station. Get 10 or 15 kWh on demand in every session, equivalent to 40 or 60 miles of range. Your unused kWh will always stay in your account and will never expire.
Unfortunately, given the limited number of stations and the amount of EVs we serve, we can only offer you 10 or 15 kWh at a time in order to maximize everyone’s charging experience. But don’t forget you can charge every day.
Not really, because the kWh plans you purchased will never expire. Similar to your Netflix subscription, even if you don’t necessarily watch it every day, it’s there when you need it. The kWh plans bring cost predictability and reliability to your overall EV ownership experience.
Yes, as long as your car supports DC fast charging. Please note that we use Tesla’s NACS as the standard plug, but a CCS 1 adapter is conveniently attached for non-Tesla drivers.Â
Yes, our charging stations are accessible 24/7, and you can reserve one for up to 30 minutes before you arrive.
We are rolling out the service in Washington, DC and Rosslyn, VA. We will expand to other major US cities as fast as we can to help accelerate urban EV adoption.
